Strong Alone, Stronger Together

This week was spent with my favorite second family. They are the reason Westlake is the nicest school in the world, and they are the reason I have gained weight this summer (midnight pizza delivery guy shoutout).

Here are some fabulous things I have learned from this week up at the student council conference:

-It's possible to go from last place to second place to last place again with no idea how we did it. #NavyStrong

-Kristyn is a good roomate to have if you want 1am scripture study and hand sanitizer (because apparently they don't supply us with soap)

-PG is the greatest. #WestGrove

-Parker has the cutest crooked smile and he likes that I force him to hug me ;)

-Alta has cute boys and Riverton has good dancers. (I regret not having pictures)

-But Westlake has cute boys that can dance. Full packages right here!

-Speaking of dancers, EVERY STUDENT COUNCIL KID KNOW HOW TO DANCE! 

We are talking sweaty, crazy, whipping, loud, mosh pit for 3 hours. Holla!

-Everyone knows how to whip and nae nae

-Blue Thunder Ice Cream was something my taste buds missed dearly. Glad they could reunite again, and glad my mom gave me money so I could spend it all on ice cream.

-We rock the group selfies

-Mikey is one of my favorite people for a thousand and one reasons. Plus he has really yummy lotion

 -Our studco is full of pretty hot blondes. 

 -Hayden has really good aim when he is shooting you in the face with beads. He also makes me so proud, because even though he is the weirdest person on earth, he is the best student body president. (I brag about him too much, I need to start my own fanpage for this kid)

But just look at that smile!

-Historians are super cool :) Especially Colton. See you in NatGeo!

This bungee flying thing is super awesome. We can't fall or die on it either! (that's what the ambassador said when we freaked out)

 -These paracord bracelets are impossible for most of Westlake to make. Plus they turn out a lot tighter than you'd think

-Don't go off the high dive if you are afraid of high dives.

-Racket Ball is a real sport. You get sweaty just from standing there and missing the ball a thousand times. Shoutout to Ryan for being the best coach.

-You can be a strong person alone, but if you have a team you are so much stronger.

-Kissing on the A is just for fun, you don't actually become an Aggie.

-Cereal is yummy at 10pm

-Melissa exists. 

-I am terrible at remembering names

-Roberts doesn't have a line to cross. Ever. Even if you're swimming. He will still pick you up and flip you.

-Richard Simmons would make a very awful band director

-Everyone wearing camo makes for funny jokes like "I can't believe no one showed up to the dance!"

-I can paint Jake's face to look like an anchor and Ryan's face to look like twoface. (this isn't even an exaggeration)

-Don't leave your dorm without your key.

My Student Council has my heart. 

(so does ice cream, but they have most of it)

The Best Year

Hi. I'm a senior now and that kinda freaks me out! But before I move on to summer and senior year, I have to share some of the best memories I have from Junior Year. This year was the year I learned to make the most out of anything, and to never say no to an adventure. I wish I could share every memory, but I'd break my computer, so here are some random pictures of random fun times that made up the best year of my life.

HIGHLIGHTS

First on my highlights was all the times I got to support my school. I honestly believe Westlake is the best school on earth and I love supporting all of the games and events we have. 

Film Festival was pretty legit. We are clearly all better behind the camera than in front of it....

SHOUTOUT TO MY PERFECT SON OF THOR BOYS! It was worth all the stress and planning to see these wonderful senior boys have so much fun showing off to an amazing audience. This night had to have been one of the best of my life. I will forever love these sweet boys and my committee for helping my not go totally crazy.

Hands down the best dance I've ever been to! I had the sweetest date, most gorgeous dress, most fun date, plus I got crowned Prom Princess in the Capital Building! 

ROLE MODELS

Miss Walker left Westlake this year, but she will always remain a lady I look up to and love. She has given me encouragement and strength when I needed it most.

I met Schmuhl this year and I don't think anyone has taught me more than he has. From photography to relationships I went to him for advice on everything, and he always was there for me.

BEST OF FRIENDS

We are pretty much the most awkward and crazy people on earth, but I love my best friends and our hilarious memories from this year.

COOLEST PEOPLE

Dated a hot football player, so that was pretty fun :)

Thrilled and excited to be on Studco alongside my elementary school BFF, both serving as historians next year.

Brady is the coolest and Audrey is the sweetest.

LEGION

This year I was honored to be in the best friend group on earth: Legion. From movie nights, ice cream parties, dances, taco nights, and so many adventures, I love these kids. They are all legends.

Sad to see the best school year of my life come to an end, but I am so thankful for the memories, people, and adventures I will treasure in my heart forever.
